Auntie Sara and Uncle Vince

Mommie and I took a jaunt up to the East Bay to visit Auntie Sara and Uncle Vince this weekend. I had a great time. We all went out to Indian food and there was so much to see and take in that I didn't actually eat very much (my apologies to the waiter who had a large mess to clean up once we left!). After we finished eating we went back to Auntie Sara and Uncle Vince's house. I hear that they have a cat named Lui but he was nowhere to be found - I think that maybe they made that up! But they did have this neat light toy to play with and all sorts of things to pull off their shelves. Come to think of it maybe they do have a cat - there were lots of cat toys lying around that also kept me entertained. Hopefully we can come visit again soon. And maybe one of these days I'll see that kitty!

Baby Gym

With a name like Baby Gym you would think we would be lifting weights and shooting hoops. But Baby Gym is really a Mommy and Me type class that we go to every Tuesday morning. There I play with my friends and check out all the toys (usually by placing them in my mouth!). I especially like to go down the slide. Then there is usually a speaker on topics like nutrition, development, or safety - Mommy tries hard to listen but I keep on playing with all my buddies so sometimes it's hard for her to concentrate while making sure I don't get into too much trouble. Then at the end we all sing. I love when teacher Mary plays her accordion. Soon it will be time to move on to the next class called Movers and Shakers. It sounds like fun and I want to stay with my buddies. But Mommy and I will miss Teacher Mary - she is so much fun!

In the picture are my two buddies Isaak (who was born the day before me) and Zachary (who just turned one this week). It's hard to get a picture of all three of us - especially because Zachary never stays still for very long! This is our second time taking the Baby Gym class so we've known each other for over half our lives!

Haircut!

Grandma Susan is sick this week (get better soon Grandma!) so Grandpa Mike and Uncle Joe came to help take care of me while Mommy and Daddy worked. Uncle Joe mentioned he needed a haircut and then Mommy asked if he could take me to get mine cut too! Mommy figured that I might be a little better behaved with Uncle Joe (and she's right!). Grandpa took lots of pictures of my first "real" haircut (Daddy gave me a trim while I sat in the high chair at home a few months ago). I look so grown up now. Watch out girls - here I come!

Happy Meal

On our way to Yosemite Mommy and Daddy took me to McDonald's for my first Happy Meal. All I really wanted from it was the apple juice. Mommy and Daddy helped eat the rest of the food. They said it's probably better that I have yet to appreciate what french fries are! Mommy was still glad we stopped - I played with the toy from the meal for the next several hours while sitting in my carseat!

Where's Halfdome?

Well, last week Mommy and Daddy finally took me to this place called "Yosemite" that they kept talking about. They told me that there would be lots of neat rocks that have names and lots of waterfalls to see (being an Aquarius I love water). But instead there was just lots and lots of white stuff that they called "snow" everywhere. As you can see in the picture I did not like this "snow" stuff one bit! Being carried around in the Baby Bjorn or backpack was OK. But by far I preferred to spend my time inside - opening the cabinets in the hotel room or helping push the stroller in whatever inside type of place we could find (visitor center, museum, art exhibit, the Awahnee Hotel). Not exactly the trip Mommy and Daddy had planned but we all had a great time regardless. It's not often that all three of us get to spend so much time together. I'm sure that they will take me back some other day so that I can finally see Half Dome and all those waterfalls!

PS Did you notice that I was a good boy and left my hat on while in Yosemite?
