An Eventful Day

Wow - what a fun day! Not only did we celebrate Mother's Day on the 13th but we also celebrated Daddy's birthday one day early. As if that wasn't enough Auntie Tomoko came for a visit!!! And she brought the best cherries I've ever eaten - yummy. But of course I still had plenty of room for birthday cake and ice cream. I wish we could have this much fun every Sunday!

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa's House

At the end of April Mommy and I went to Paso Robles to visit Grandma and Grandpa's house. They've been busy - redecorating the house with new paint, flooring, and new furniture. It was really hot there - we had a good time hanging out on the shady patio (thanks for saving the catalog of diggers for me Grandma) and going to the park. Since Mommy's belly is getting pretty big Grandma and Grandpa hung out with me on the equipment at the park. As you can see, I was a little unsure about that slide until Grandpa went down with me. I hope that we can go back soon but Mommy says it will have to wait until after my new brother or sister arrives and is ready to go for a visit!

Buckles

Another new thing that I am doing is trying to buckle everything on my own! I pretty much have the straps on my booster seat at the kitchen table figured out. But these car seats are a bit more tricky - I still need some help. But Mommy thinks that might be a good thing - because once I have it figured out how to buckle the seat on my own, unbuckling it can't be far behind ;)

Telephone

I also like to run around with the telephone. Unfortunately for those people who I call (mostly Grandma and Grandpa) I usually won't say a word while I have them on the line. I like to "show" them the toys I am playing with at the time. Geez, you think someone would invent a "video" phone by now. Well, Mommy and Daddy finally got me to say "Hi" and "ByeBye" a few times so maybe I'll get the hang of this phone thing yet :)

Uncle Joe

I love love love my Uncle Joe! He's such a good uncle. He came and stayed for almost a whole week to help Mommy when Grandma and Grandpa were on a trip and Daddy was on a business trip. I am absolutely sure there wasn't anything else he would rather be doing while on his spring break! But he did seem a bit tired by that last day....keeping up with me takes a lot of energy :)

A Boy and his Digger

As most boys my age I am very into trucks, planes, and trains. I often insist on taking one to bed with me. Grandpa Mike gave me this digger for my birthday. As you can see I am very attached to it!
